"Business administration is like a puzzle that needs to be solved," our associate Jamil tells us in fluent Dutch. Over the last three years, the accounting graduate from Syria has learnt the language. "In my previous jobs, both in Syria and in the Netherlands, I only did accounting work, but here I learn something new every day," he tells us when asked about his choice for Holthaus. "They have also assigned a personal buddy to me who teaches me how to compile annual accounts, quarterly reports and VAT returns." In his free time, Jamil likes to cycle with his friends. "Amsterdam is a beautiful city and the Dutch are very sociable," he smiles. "I really enjoy it here, and at Holthaus."
